In response to comments from members over the past year regarding IWFS membership structure and dues, the Board of Management undertook a review of those policies, resulting in changes which will take effect September 1st, 2019.

Membership Categories

As of September 1st, 2019 the “Joint membership” category will be eliminated. All memberships will be individual, and a single fee structure will apply to all members.

Membership Dues

Annual membership dues for the 2019/2020 year will be $240 (Dues for the 2018/2019 year were $345 Single, and $395 Joint)

In recent years it has been our practice to include the cost of club wines in the event pricing at an average cost of $50 per event. Effective September 1st, 2019, members will pay an annual wine Levy of $200 per member. There will be no charge for club wines in event pricing after September 1st.

Guest Pricing for Events

Effective September 1st, 2019, Guest pricing for events will be:
Events including Club Wines – member price + cost of club wines + $50

Events without Club Wines – member price + $50

Initiation Fee
The one time Initiation Fee for new members will be $200

We believe these changes will have a positive impact on the organization. We will be available to answer any questions regarding these changes at the AGM on June 24th.
