The event is over and what success. The weather held off the forecasted rain. The following is a Pictorial re-cap of the event.
Our most anticipated social event is just around the corner and will be held once more on the grounds* of Martha and Phil Russel’s elegant home in Toronto. This will be an outdoor event.
It’s been two years since we have mingled with each other in this gorgeous setting and we are so excited!! The event is also open for you to bring guests who may be potential members.
To set the tone of the afternoon: there will be some cava, champagne, and a little Italian lightly-sparkling from Sicily on arrival to enjoy along with our hors d’oeuvres selection. Catering for the event will be by crowd-pleaser and member, Jayne’s Gourmet Catering.
Our cellar Master Rob Reynolds will also be selecting some outstanding wines from our cellar for you to taste which can include white wines of Languedoc, Loire, Burgundy and Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Portugal, and Austria. The reds we can pull from the cellar won’t disappoint as there are there late 90s Bordeaux, including a sampling from the awesome 2000 vintage, some 1er cru Burgundies, plus, a little side-trip to Barolo, Chianti, and Napa too. For dessert wines, we will select from tastes of Tokaj, Vin Santo, and Sauternes.

Because we value your health and safety, all IWFS Toronto members and guests will be required to have proof of approved covid19 double-vaccinations when they register for in person events; or agree to present a negative COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of the event.
The IWFS follows appropriate protocols to keep members and their guests safe, but it cannot assure that the virus will not be contracted while at IWFS events. By registering for this event, you acknowledge that you are attending this IWFS event at your own risk.
