The IW&FS Toronto Branch and the Toronto Hunt experienced the wonders of Michael Chapoutier. The wines were presented by Philippe Dandurand Wines Ltd., the Canadian importer. Michel Chapoutier, in spite of some considerable jet-lag, regaled the assembled crowd representing the industry the IWFS Members and the Toronto Hunt with his philosophy of wine and the pairing of food in true French fashion. “It is a love affair very much like marriage, a war for supremacy, but when there is harmony it is a pure state of blissful rapture to the palate”.
The Toronto Hunt did a marvellous job of service preparation along with fresh ingredients and Canada’s best.
Thank you Philippe Dandurand Wines Ltd. for making this possible and above all the Toronto Hunt for yet another exquisite dinner where the wines were very serious and the wine maker passionate with a true love wine and his craft while not taking himself too seriously. In some quarters the wine the business, is prone to pomposity.
