IWFS Toronto is pleased to announce that our next wine and dine will be a VIRTUAL event catered by Pukka on Monday, March 14th, 2022. This will be our second event at Pukka as the first event in 2019 was such a success!!
While we know that Members are eager to socialize together, several members have raised health concerns that there will be no vaccine passport requirement at this restaurant which will also be open to other diners.
Pukka’s menu focuses on a lightness that the restaurant’s website describes as “elevating the typical Indian curry into clean, modern bites that wow both the eyes and the taste buds.” At the time of its opening in 2013, Pukka’s menu was a take on Indian cuisine, that while new to Toronto, was quite successful in London and elsewhere in the U.K. Harsh and his business partner, Derek Valleau, knew there was a market for this fresh take on Indian cuisine in Toronto and felt St. Clair West was the best place for it.
“We wanted to make people realize that Indian food isn’t just heavy curries and other dishes. Our take on Indian food is lighter, with local ingredients to the extent we can use local. As a result, we keep the menu pretty fresh with the season.” – Harsh Chawla, owner.
Our Wine Director Rob Reynolds has again selected some very special wines from our private cellar to ensure you have pairings that will be interesting and fascinating. Rob will be on hand to share his thoughts about these wines and will welcome your feedback.

First course: Smoked Steelhead Trout, garam masala cured, fresh herb slaw, mustard raita

Second course: Herb Infused Chicken Tikka, two chutneys

Main Course: choice of 3 – individually plated:· 1) Roast Arctic Char, red pepper curry, french beans, chilli glazed carrots, or· 2) Seared Duck Breast, spiced blueberry curry, french beans, chilli glazed carrots or· 3) Braised Lamb Shank, tomato onion masala, french beans, chilli glazed carrots.
