It was a very successful event based on feedback received. The participants were 20 members from Toronto, 6 from the UK and 14 from the Valencia Chapter.

On December 5th, and for the first time ever, IWFS Toronto will be holding an INTERNATIONAL wine tasting event with the IWFS Valencia, Spain Chapter chaired by Eduardo Aguilar.Also participating will be a few members from the IWFS London UK led by Stephanie Shepherd, Events Coordinator Europe, as observers.
The Valencia chapter will taste a 2005 and 2011 lnniskillin Vidal Icewine
and, Toronto IWFS members will taste a 2014 Bodegas Vegalfaro Pago de Los Balagueses (Garnacha Tintorera). Pago de Los Balagueses is Vegalfaro’s top-echelon wine brand, entirely sourced from one of the key 17 wine estates in Spain awarded the DOP Vino de Pago designation to date. All Vegalfaro wines are certified Organic by the European Union.
Moreover, Bodegas Vegalfaro Winemaker and owner, Rodolfo Valiente and Inniskillin Winemaker, Bruce Nicolson will be attending to discuss these superb wines.
For this tasting, a bottle of Bodegas Vegalfaro’s 2014 Pago de los Balagueses and a delicious selection of tapas prepared by member Jayne’s Gourmet Catering will be delivered to your home.
This event is open to IWFS Toronto Members who have renewed their 2020-21 Membership.

Stuffed Piquillo peppers with goat’s cheese
